Their client is a non-crop agrochemical company seeking to qualify an additional producer for a well-known, off-patent small molecule pesticidal active ingredient (AI).

Job Description

Multiple synthesis routes are described in the literature and commercial production is well established. A new potential producer is currently conducting pilot plant production and intends to supply technical grade AI. Before progressing further, our client wants an independent expert to assess whether:

• The synthesis and associated pilot processes are technically robust and scalable,
• The cost structure is competitive and sustainable at commercial scale, and
• The AI quality meets our internal requirements and is equivalent to the current supplier.

Job Requirements

To support this work, we are looking for a chemical professional with 15-20 years of experience working with pesticidal active ingredients. Key experiences will include synthetic process chemistry, industrialization and/or manufacturing support, and supporting the interplay of technical information with regulatory affairs.
