Job Description

The client is seeking a Technical Manager to drive the expansion of the product range to support business growth ambitions. Role responsibilities include:

• New product development to meet market / customer requirements
• Transfer and scale up of new products from lab to plant production
• Management of R&D projects and small lab team providing quality assurance
• Member of management team steering strategy and growth of the business
• Working to high standards of HSE compliance, leading by example

Job Requirements

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Education in chemistry or a closely related subject. Minimum of a BS / BSc degree, higher qualifications preferable
• Experience in senior R&D / Technology roles with responsibility for new product development in the specialty chemicals sector
• Experience of organic synthesis, including taking products from lab scale development to full scale plant production
• Knowledge and understanding of chemical applications in the oil & gas industry including formulation of products
• Based in, or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
