Job Description
The successful candidate will lead the North American Light Olefins (NALO) service by directing a research staff to provide insight into the market dynamics associated with ethylene, propylene, and associated feedstocks. The individual is expected to be an expert with extensive commercial experience in the industry and shall provide thought leadership on the markets relating to supply, demand, price, and economics, as well as competitive dynamics and changing industry structural elements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelorā€™s degree, Chemical Engineering or technical degree preferred; MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of minimum experience in the petrochemical industry with significant experience in the areas of sales, trading, purchasing, supply-chain, and/or olefins production / business management. Broader experience in refining operations / markets is a plus.
- Chemical industry knowledge combined with a high level of product expertise.
- A conceptual understanding of how natural resources, political stability, and labor influence regional and global markets.
- Proficient public speaker.
- Ability to think through questions and/or problems and independently provide solutions.
- Highly analytical and strategic thinker.
